The SC ST Committee has been constituted for SC ST as per prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989
No. 33 of 1989 dated 11/09/1989, in the meeting held on 18.06.2023 for the year 2024-25 vide
order no, MSOET/SC-ST/24-25as under.

Functions of SC/ST cells
Grievance redressal
SC/ST cells help students and employees with academic and administrative issues. They also address
disputes and violations of rights.
 Scholarships
SC/ST cells inform students about scholarship programs from the state government and UGC. They
also help students apply for and use the benefits of these programs.
 Counseling
SC/ST cells counsel students on academic and personal issues, and provide emotional support.
 Awareness
SC/ST cells raise awareness about the rights of SC/ST students and the various government and non-
